“Lady Liberty”
In my appropriation of “Lady Liberty” the national symbol of freedom is a black woman. She becomes the platform and the announcer of liberation. What exactly does it mean to be free? What does it look like in your life, in my life? What does it look like in our world? These are all questions I pondered while creating this thought provoking piece.
